God talks to those who are humble enough to listen to wise advice, willing to relinquish their plans for His, able to wait and not move ahead of Him impulsively.

I have gifted you with many things to enable you to do My work. When you exercise your gifts and lead people to faith, hope, and trust, it brings you deep fulfillment and joy. Often, they respond with overwhelming praise and thanks to you. Remember: The key to ongoing success is to use your gifts with humility. Humility is not denying the strength and abilities you have; it is admitting to yourself and to others that the power comes through you and not from you. “Do you want to be counted wise, to build a reputation for wisdom? Here’s what you do: Live well, live wisely, live humbly. It’s the way you live, not the way you talk, that counts” (James 3:13, MSG).

The key to My blessing is to humble yourself, turn from sin, pray, and seek My face. If you leave arrogance behind and come into My presence without acting pretentious, I will give you wisdom. If you humble yourself before Me, at the right time I will lift you up in honor (1 Peter 5:6). The benefits are great. “True humility and fear of the LORD lead to riches, honor, and long life” (Proverbs 22:4).

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
