His Hands
His Hands
I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God’s hands, that I still possess.
Martin Luther
You are the work of My hands, and I will be your Provider, your Defender, your Deliverer, your Shield, and your great Reward. By My mighty hand, I brought the universe into being. “I am the one who made the earth and created people to live on it. With my hands I stretched out the heavens. All the stars are at my command” (Isaiah 45:12). When you walk through storms, remember that I can calm the seas. Even the wind and the waves obey Me. I am holding you with My almighty hands—and you need not fear.
Like a child, you sometimes let go of My hand and run ahead of Me on the path of life. But soon you find yourself lost, confused, and without direction. Come back to Me. Place your hand in Mine and enjoy the security of knowing I will not let you go. Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand” (John 10:28-29). When you walk with Me and talk with Me, you can say with the psalmist, “You hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny” (Psalm 73:23-24). Place your complete trust in Me, and I will meet your needs.
My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.
Psalm 31:15, NIV
