Hear My Cry
Hear My Cry
God will sometimes allow things to get bad enough that we will be forced to look up. Victory always begins with a cry for help. When we come to the end of ourselves and cry out for help, amazing things happen.
Beth Moore
When tragedy hits your life, cry out to Me. You may be thinking, There is no way I will ever get through this. I see no way that God could bring good out of a situation this devastating. How can I find hope and cling to my faith at a time like this? I know there are times when you battle feelings of despair, confusion, and even anger because of the suffering you’re experiencing. I see your desperation. I understand your longing for relief. What should you do in these tough moments? Cry out to Me for help. Acknowledge that you need My intervention, that you can’t fix things yourself.
Here’s My promise to you: “Call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you” (Psalm 50:15). “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3, NIV). When righteous people cry out, I hear them and deliver them from their troubles (Psalm 34:17, NIV). Don’t hold back. Your cry will bring rescue, answers, and deliverance—but these things will take place in My timing. When you reach the end of your rope, look up and have faith in My power to bring release and resolution. As you wait for relief, find respite in My presence. My love for you is great.
In my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I cried to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry reached his ears.
