The enemy is cunning and lurks in unexpected places, threatening you with fear of the unknown and tempting you to feel unstable and intimidated. In addition to those stressful challenges, there are times when people come against you with criticism or unfounded accusations. In these circumstances, look to Me for protection. Place your trust in Me, and I will be your Refuge. When you need a safe place, come to Me. I will hide you beneath the shadow of [My] wings until the danger passes by.

I am your Defender, and I am always available to you. Pick up My Word and speak this Scripture aloud: “You are my hiding place from every storm of life; you even keep me from getting into trouble! You surround me with songs of victory” (Psalm 32:7, TLB). When you feel exposed or helpless, try singing songs of triumph that lift your spirit and focus your mind on truth. Allow Me to turn your anxiety into peace as you find comfort in the hollow of My hand.

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by.
