God Cares

God Cares

God does care. God does know what He is doing. He asks us to trust Him. He asks us to remember who we are trying to understand—even when it doesn’t make sense at all.

Dee Brestin

I am the ultimate source of your help. It’s been tempting to think I’m taking care of everyone except you—but that’s not true. I see you. I know your needs. I know your pain. I am fully acquainted with what you are going through. Sometimes you allow anxiety to fill your mind before you think of Me. You’ve been finding it easier to give in to fear, stress, and quiet grumblings of the heart: If only I had more people to come alongside and walk with me. If only I had unlimited wealth to meet my loved one’s needs. If only God would demonstrate His love to me in a more tangible way. After all, He owns “the cattle on a thousand hills” (Psalm 50:10); why doesn’t He rescue me?

My help comes when you humble yourself before Me. It takes courage to admit that you need assistance. Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Lean on Me instead of trying to do everything yourself. Casting your worries on Me doesn’t mean you don’t need to do anything. It means you do what you can—and trust Me for the rest. I will take care of you.

Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28
