Freedom
Freedom
Freedom is an inside job.
Sam Keen
Personal liberty is something you’ve been taking for granted. You make decisions about what your daily activities will be, and you move around at will. But freedom on the inside involves being at peace even during circumstances that, humanly speaking, could make you feel confined or out of control. That kind of inner contentment can be hard won, but it’s worth every bit of the effort it takes. Trust Me enough to believe that there will be unexpected benefits and divine surprises along the way to attaining a God-dependent state of mind.
I sent Jesus to be the Savior of the world in order to give you liberty. The freedom He offers makes it possible to live in the middle of unresolved issues and tight spots and still experience inner peace. At times, you still try to live by a man-made list of impossible rules, but what I’m offering brings relaxation instead of stress. The apostle Paul wrote, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17, NASB). Take time to itemize the extraordinary ways you’re experiencing release from anxiety on the inside.
Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
Galatians 5:1
