Embers
Embers
When God calls . . . he bids [us] come and burn—burn with a new love . . . that will take all the mixed and muddled desires and ambitions and burn till it has refined all that was God-given in them and purged out all that was going the other direction.

Spend extended time with Me today. You may feel that your once brightly burning faith-fire is turning into an ash heap. At one point your love for Me was so strong that the light of your passion was visible to everyone who crossed your path. But lately, I’ve noticed that you’re listening to people who are pulling you away from Me. You’re spending your time on projects that have no eternal value.
Make this the day you ask Me to stir up the embers of your faith so they can be dispersed across a larger area. I will help you use your setbacks and broken dreams as a testimony of how to grow a wildfire faith that can endure anything. By nurturing your faith-embers, you can spark fresh assurance and reliance upon Me in the hearts of those questioning My goodness. Teach them to let My Spirit fan the flickering flames in their hearts, and remind them to feed on My Word. Keep your own faith ablaze and spread it to others who need My hope.
You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
