Change

Change

It is wonderful what miracles God works in wills that are utterly surrendered to Him. He turns hard things into easy, and bitter things into sweet. It is not that He puts easy things in the place of the hard, but He actually changes the hard thing into an easy one.

Hannah Whitall Smith

You cannot change your past, but you can embrace the miracle I want to do in your life right now. You’ve been stuck in a rut, ruminating on your imperfect choices, your lack of support, your meager resources, your dead-end situation.

The thing you can change is your attitude. I want you to change from the inside out and use your life for My eternal purposes. I want you to know you are loved deeply by Me and that I am a changeless God. I am “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). That means I’ll be here for you today and tomorrow and for the rest of your life. Positive change begins in your mind—so fill your mind with My truth every day. Think on things that are excellent and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Ask Me to redeem your past and to use what you have learned to help others turn their hearts toward Me. The enemy says, “You can’t change.” But I tell you that as I transform your thinking, you are already changing for the better.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
