Cherished
Cherished
You are left alone with Jesus. Quietly, he comes close. He reaches out and lifts your chin up with his hand. He smiles and wipes away the tears that stain your cheeks. His touch takes your breath away. He makes you feel cherished. . . . Slowly, he helps you to your feet.

Sometimes you will be alone, but that doesn’t mean you have to be lonely. Learn to enjoy solitude so you can fully enjoy My presence. You’ve been rushing here and there and keeping yourself busy so you won’t have time to concentrate on the sadness in your life. But the harder and more perfectly you work, the more you feel unfulfilled and incomplete. Sometimes you expect other people to fill the hole inside your heart, but no one else can ever give you the completeness and satisfaction that come only from Me.
Slow down long enough to let Me be your Comforter, your Healer, and your Lover. Consider these words from the psalmist: “For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth” (Psalm 103:11). Bask in My unfailing love and realize it knows no end. I cherish you, and our times together bring Me great joy. Linger in My company and find yourself totally embraced by the One who loves you most. I want to quiet your heart and feel you relax in the safety of My embrace.
The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17, NKJV
