Beautiful Feet

Beautiful Feet

God isn’t looking for people of great faith, but for individuals ready to follow Him.

Hudson Taylor

My plan for enlarging My Kingdom is simple—one person telling another person what My Son did when He died on the cross. You sometimes explain away your reasons for not speaking up: You’re too busy, too shy, too inadequate, too new in the faith, too imperfect, or too troubled. You’ve been concerned about what people might think if you’re bold in talking about Me. The thought of rejection immobilizes you. It’s uncomfortable when a direct question about faith is followed by awkward silence. You don’t want to look pushy. You get tongue-tied. Every one of those reasons is an excuse.

Jesus modeled what I want you to do—“to proclaim good news to the poor” and “to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed” (Luke 4:18-19, ESV). As His beautiful feet and hands, focus on leading people to faith in Christ and help them with their physical needs, too. “You will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere” (Acts 1:8). The joy you’ll have when you meet people in heaven whom you led to My truth will far outweigh any discomfort you had in boldly sharing the gospel.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!

Isaiah 52:7
