Anticipation
Anticipation
We are to wait for the coming of Christ with patience. We are to watch with anticipation. We are to work with zeal. We are to prepare with urgency. Scripture says Christ is coming when you’re least expecting him.
Billy Graham
Look up! The coming of the Lord is near. Read the promise in My book: “He who testifies to all these things says it again: ‘I’m on my way! I’ll be there soon!’” (Revelation 22:20, MSG). If your body is in pain, if your mind is clouded with confusion, if your finances are falling apart, if your loved one is in prison, if your child is making bad choices, if your job is squeezing the joy out of you, if your circumstances seem insurmountable—don’t give up!
There will be an end to all of this suffering and sadness. Even the mountains and the seas cry out for relief. “The creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay” (Romans 8:21). My Son repeatedly promised to come again—and He will come for you in all His power and glory, accompanied by a host of angels. Let this bring new hope to your heart today: “Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him—even those who pierced him. . . . Yes! Amen!” (Revelation 1:7). Hold on. It won’t be long.
For you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.
Malachi 4:2
