A Timely Word
A Timely Word
When you’re fully aware that the words you speak are God working through you to bless another person, that’s definitely a cause for joy. Shared joy at that.

We’ve been walking together for quite a while, and our conversations bring blessing to both of us. When you talk to Me, voicing your worship, speaking your praise, asking for My direction, or seeking a deeper relationship, I am pleased. When you hear My responses—through Scripture or when My Spirit brings insight, wisdom, or relief—you are blessed. Our communication is a cause for mutual joy!
Be aware of how your words can encourage, instruct, or cheer someone today. Go out of your way to deliver the gift of a timely word to someone who isn’t expecting to hear from you. “Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body” (Proverbs 16:24). As you see the way your spoken blessing brings a smile, answers a question, or makes a heavy load lighter, be delighted. You are acting on My behalf. Your kind words bring triple joy—to the recipient, to you, and to Me!
A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—and how good is a timely word!
