A Living Letter
A Living Letter
Most of the world around you doesn’t read the Bible. So . . . He gives the world a living epistle—you.
Kay Arthur
You are My love letter to the world. During the challenges of your current circumstances, you have demonstrated a living hope. The hope you reflect is not based on sudden riches, less pain, easier experiences, or perfect health. It’s totally anchored in your unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and in your determination to stay focused on your inheritance in heaven—“an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade” (1 Peter 1:4, NIV). To the onlooker, your life is surprising, because you are finding joy in the midst of your trials.
As someone inscribed with My signature, you prove the genuineness of a vibrant faith. It baffles people that you give praise, honor, and glory to Me during tough times (1 Peter 1:3-7). By the way you live out your faith, observers understand the power of My love and protection. Your faithfulness speaks louder than a person using a megaphone. You are a living letter that describes authentic Christianity without words.
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2 Corinthians 3:3, NIV
