Saying No to Technology Slavery

You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.

1 Corinthians 6:12

Choose two hours today to unplug fully. Shut off your phone, turn off the TV, and refrain from using the computer.

Use some of this time to be with the Lord and reflect on the above verse. What has this time revealed to you about the way technology enslaves you?

As you reflect on the past seven days, consider whether unplugging has revealed any ways in which you have copied the behaviors of this world.

How might God be calling you to change the way you think about technology?

Ask him to help you unplug more and more for the sake of your thoughts, heart, relationships, and prayer life.
