Hiding

When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. . . . Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

Psalm 32:3, 5

Is there something you have been hiding from God and others? What keeps you from confessing?

Fear?

Shame?

Apathy?

Denial?

Talk with God about it, remembering that he loves you and wants to forgive you. Pray this: “Lord, I desire to please you with every part of my day, although I know my actions don’t always show this. Show me where I hide and cover my sin so that I can begin to allow you to love me in those dark places.”
