Heart Check

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

1 John 1:8-9

Spend a few minutes thinking back over your interactions with others this week.

When did you hurt someone, either intentionally or unintentionally?

When did you manipulate someone with your words or actions?

Did you dismiss someone’s feelings?

Did you neglect an apparent need?

Confess these things to God and accept his forgiveness. Pray, “Search me, O God, and know my heart. Show me why I chose to hurt this person. Open my heart to your truth, so I don’t deceive myself.”
