For Better or for Worse

God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

Ephesians 2:4-5

Think back to a time when you did something you were not proud of.

Maybe you said something that hurt someone deeply, lied to make yourself look good, or perhaps even committed a crime.

Now read the verses above one more time and internalize the truth that God loves you even in your worst moments.

Tell God how this reality makes you feel.

How might this knowledge encourage you today to respond to someone who may not deserve your acceptance?
