Moses and Aaron turned away from the people and went to the entrance of the Tabernacle, where they fell face down on the ground. Then the glorious presence of the Lord appeared to them.

Numbers 20:6

Lying down before the Lord with our faces toward the ground puts our hearts in a posture of humility.

Begin today prostrate before God, confessing your tendency toward sin and recognizing the depth of your need for his mercy, forgiveness, and provision.

Realize your inadequacy and your inability to live this day apart from him.

If there is a certain crisis in your life, acknowledge that God is the only one who can deliver you.
