My Question for God

I make so many mistakes. Is there any hope that God can still use me?

A Moment with God

[Jesus said,] “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

Luke 22:31-32

Jesus said, “Peter, let me tell you something. Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

Luke 22:34

Knowing that Simon Peter was heading for disaster, Jesus prayed for him, making two requests of his heavenly Father: first, that Peter’s mistakes would not cause him to lose his faith, and second, that Peter would eventually use the lessons he learned from his error to strengthen others spiritually. Jesus’ prayers were answered. Peter went on to become the leader of the first church in Jerusalem and an encourager of those who were suffering for their faith.

Nothing about your life is useless to God—but that does not give you an excuse for sinning. The heartache and consequences of sin can continue for a lifetime—even to future generations. Yet the wonder of grace is that God can use your worst failures to strengthen your faith and enable you to better comfort and help others.

Divine Promise

The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.
