My Question for God
Why is it important that there are mysteries about God we’ll never know?
A Moment with God
The LORD our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.
Deuteronomy 29:29
Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
Ecclesiastes 11:5
Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.
1 John 3:2
If God’s nature and knowledge could be totally known by humans, God would cease to be a God who inspires our awe. God’s mysteries are opportunities for faith. If you knew everything there was to know about God or his plans for your life, there would be no need for faith. God has given you all you need to know in order to believe in him. Continue to pursue learning all that God has already revealed about himself, and you will discover him in new and exciting ways. You are not responsible for the mysteries about God that you cannot know, but you are responsible for what you can know about him. Following him is a lifelong adventure of discovery.
Divine Promise
Truly, O God of Israel, our Savior, you work in mysterious ways.
Isaiah 45:15
