Loneliness
Loneliness
My Question for God
How can God help me when I’m feeling lonely?
A Moment with God
[Elisha] went in alone and shut the door behind him and prayed to the LORD.
2 Kings 4:33
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
Psalm 139:17
The LORD is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
Even when you feel alone, God is always with you. He is thinking about you all the time. Don’t give up on him when you are lonely. Don’t abandon all relationships because a few have failed. Doing so will cause you to feel sorry for yourself and become discouraged. Use this “alone time” to discover the faithfulness of God. As you do, you will be compelled to reach out to others, even when you have been abandoned. Getting involved with others takes the focus off your lonely feelings and places it on another’s well-being. Put yourself in places where you can meet and get to know people. The church is a great place to start.
Divine Promise
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you.
Psalm 9:10
