My Question for God

How can God use my limited experience?

A Moment with God

[God] chose his servant David, calling him from the sheep pens. He took David from tending the ewes and lambs and made him the shepherd of Jacob’s descendants—God’s own people, Israel. He cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillful hands.

Psalm 78:70-72

Do the best you can wherever you are—and remember that God wastes nothing. Instead, he uses everything to further his purposes. David’s first job was shepherding—hardly the recommended grooming for a future monarch! Yet the lessons David learned on the hills with the sheep served him well on the throne, so much so that he ruled not as a tyrant but as a shepherd. God will use you in whatever situation you find yourself, and he will use your circumstances to prepare you for future service. God’s plan is unfolding now, not just later in the future. Your greatest success will come from your obedience to God as he carries out his plans through you. God will make use of your training and your experience to make you even more fruitful for him.

Divine Promise
