Trust
MY QUESTION for GOD
Why is trust essential for strong relationships?
A MOMENT with GOD
Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.
Proverbs 25:19
Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life.
Proverbs 31:10-11
The Lord detests double standards; he is not pleased by dishonest scales.
Proverbs 20:23
Distrust is unhealthy and painful in relationships because it causes you to question the motives of others. Mutual trust strengthens and deepens relationships because you know that what others tell you is true and that they are acting in your best interest. When you trust someone, you have peace of mind about that person. You are free to fully enjoy and engage in the relationship. Trust is vital in your relationships with your wife, family, friends, neighbors, leaders, and coworkers. If you can’t trust someone, there is no way you can have a healthy, close relationship. If you don’t trust God, the only One who is completely trustworthy, you cannot experience true peace or the ability to enjoy and engage in a relationship with him. When you learn to trust God, you will never have to question his motives or what he says. You will know that he always has your best interests in mind.
DIVINE PROMISE
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you. Psalm 9:10
