Success
Success
MY QUESTIONS for GOD
Is it okay to be successful in this life? How does God define success?
A MOMENT with GOD
All too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced.
Mark 4:19
Our goal is to please him. For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.
2 Corinthians 5:9-10
Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”
Matthew 22:37
Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.
Proverbs 16:3
In this world success is usually defined by how much we own and how much we achieve. According to God’s standards, success is measured not by material assets but by spiritual assets; not by what you have but by who you are; not by what you know but by who you know. Some people are successful both by the world’s standards and by God’s standards. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is also rare. We get into trouble when we gain material or worldly success at the expense of true success as God defines it. On the day of your death, you will lay aside all material assets; what you own here on earth has absolutely no eternal value. But how well you have succeeded in what God considers important counts in every way. Partnering with God in this life is the best way to ensure success in the next.
