Impossible

Impossible

MY QUESTION for GOD

Can God do the impossible for me?

A MOMENT with GOD

He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.

Daniel 6:27

Those who heard this said, “Then who in the world can be saved?” He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”

Luke 18:26-27

The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would.

Genesis 21:1-2

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: All this may seem impossible to you now, a small remnant of God’s people. But is it impossible for me? says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

Zechariah 8:6

The Bible is filled with stories of the impossible: A flood covers the earth, a sea is parted so people can walk through, the sun keeps shining until a battle can be won, a man survives three days in the belly of a fish, a virgin gives birth to a baby boy. To the person who does not believe in God or the authority of the Bible, these stories defy logic. But those who believe in the Creator of all things also believe that he can alter what he has created; he can break natural law to cause something supernatural. In order to experience the impossible and recognize it for what it is, you need faith. Faith opens up a new dimension so you can understand that what you see with your eyes is not all there is. You can recognize the “impossible” things God does for his people because you believe that anything is possible for him. Learn to recognize and appreciate the impossible things God accomplishes for you and around you each day: the gift of forgiveness, the change of seasons, the intricacies of the human body and its ability to heal, the exact conditions needed to support life on this earth, the birth of a baby. The more you see the impossible acts of God with eyes of faith, the stronger your faith in God will become. There should be no doubt that God specializes in doing what from a human perspective is impossible. But the end of your abilities is the beginning of his. The God who spoke all creation into being can do the impossible for you. Simply believe that he can—and that he wants to.
