As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Ephesians 6:6-7

God endorses hard work, ingenuity, fair business practices, and success. Paul, Aquila, and Priscilla were Christian leaders in both ministry and business and managed to do well at balancing both. The quality of your work and your enthusiasm for it reveal the nature of your commitment to Christ. Hard work done with excellence and integrity honors God and may bring material resources that can be used for God’s glory. But hard work does not always lead to material success. What is most important is that you do your work as though God were your boss. If you work to serve him, you will be successful in God’s eyes.

DIVINE PROMISE

Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3
