God Knows Your Thoughts

God Knows Your Thoughts

Breathe Deep and Know: God knows the weight of the anxious thoughts you’re carrying, and He invites you to let Him lighten the load.

Imagine for a minute that all of your worries and anxious thoughts are rocks. How many rocks are you holding right now? How heavy is the weight you’re carrying? Take an inventory right now and list all the rocks of worry that you’re holding onto.

The thing is, if you keep holding onto those worries and anxious thoughts, they will weigh down your soul, and your body and will begin to show signs of that imbalance.

Do you ever feel anxious but don’t quite know why? Does your heart race or do your hands tremble? Do you get irritable or have trouble sleeping? When your body begins to show symptoms of anxiety, do you ever slow down and identify your anxious thoughts?

With this prayer, be reminded to regularly ask God to search your heart and reveal your anxious thoughts. Allow Him to bring the source of your anxiety into the light so you can face it and begin letting it go. Let God remove the rocks of worry you’re carrying . . . and then let Him carry them for you.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Psalm 139:23-24

inhale:

Search me and know my heart;

exhale:

I give you all my anxious thoughts.
