God Knows Everything About You

Breathe Deep and Know: God already knows everything about you, and He loves you.

Many of us put up walls around our hearts to keep others from truly seeing and knowing us. We worry that if we let someone in, if they see the real us, they won’t like what they see, and so we build those walls higher and higher, keeping others at a distance. Shame and insecurity cause us to fear being vulnerable, so we get really good at acting like we have it all together, like we know what we’re doing, like we’re actually as good and perfect as we wish we were.

But as much as we can allow anxiety and fear lock us away from others, we can’t hide from God.

He already knows you—all of you. He sees every bit of your heart. He knows the depths of your soul. And guess what? He fully and completely loves and accepts you. There’s nothing you can hide from Him. Nothing you’ve done or can do surprises Him. And because He already knows everything about you, you can trust that He knows what is best for you.

So let God into the deepest parts of your heart today, and trust Him with what makes you most anxious and afraid. You can trust Him with your heart. He loves you.

O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.
