Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

Psalm 143:8

There’s something special—even sacred—about mornings. We sense that life starts afresh with the sunrise. What seemed impossible the night before now seems doable. And God’s unfailing love dawns once again, renewing our hope, reminding us that we are loved.

To best experience God’s love in the morning, we can make a habit of spending time listening for his voice. Maybe in the shower or on the drive to work you can allow yourself some quiet time to listen for his voice, review the truth of Scripture that you have memorized, or sing praise to your faithful God.

In that space of morning quiet before the bustle of the day begins, you will more easily hear God’s promises to love you always and to guide you in the way you should go. Leave that morning quiet with him. Walk through the day together.

Lord, thank you for reminding me of your love every morning, making me confident in my choice to trust you, amen.
