Weakness

weakness - Why is God allowing me to go through a season of weakness?

God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

Matthew 5:3

The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Psalm 28:7

I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:10

HAVE YOU EVER wondered why God’s Word says that the poor are indeed blessed? Perhaps it is because poverty—or any kind of weakness—forces us to depend on him. Sometimes God leads us into a season of weakness so that his power can be greatly displayed. He may put us in a situation where we will witness how he does the impossible. If we focus on trying to get ourselves out of trouble, we will never see what he can do. The struggle happens when we doubt he really can help us. One way to trust him with your future is to recollect how he has helped you in the past. Pour out your heart to God, ask him for help, and trust that he will do it! God will either provide a way out of your situation or give you the perseverance to stay strong. Wait quietly and patiently for God to work. You’ll discover that he always comes through.
