Waiting

waiting - What does waiting well look like?

Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act.

Psalm 37:7

As for me, I look to the LORD for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.

Micah 7:7

Those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

The LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.

Isaiah 30:18

WAITING is about being still and watching, allowing God to unfold matters in his timing. We desire quick fixes for our problems, but often God works differently. Sometimes he doesn’t answer our prayer right away because real growth develops in the waiting and the watching. When we wait, we are continually confronted with the choice to either despair or trust. The Bible promises that those who choose to trust during times of waiting will be blessed with strength, hope, and confidence. What prayer are you still waiting for God to answer? Read his Word and be encouraged. He is doing great things in your heart as you wait for him to act.
