voice of God - How can I know if I am really hearing God’s voice?

IT TAKES TIME to recognize God’s voice. There are no shortcuts to this. We become familiar with God’s voice only through spending time with him. When we need guidance, we can open God’s Word and talk to him about what is going on in our lives. We can ask him what he wants us to do, and then we need to be still and listen! We may feel as though nothing is happening during the silence, but we can trust that his Holy Spirit is working. Over time, God will transform us into new people who can read the Word through new eyes and hear his voice with new ears. Remember, God loves spending time with you and delights in your effort to know his voice better.
