Thankfulness
thankfulness - How do I develop a more thankful heart?
Thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57
Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks.
1 Timothy 4:4
It is good to give thanks to the LORD, . . . to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening.
Psalm 92:1-2
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
WE LIVE IN A WORLD filled with less-than-perfect days and unpredictable circumstances. We experience ups and downs and never know what’s around the corner. However, choosing to be thankful has the power to lift us above our circumstances, change our perspective, and shape the way we see God and the world. Thankfulness keeps us connected to God, no matter what life has in store. If it’s difficult for you to find things to be thankful for, make a mental list of God’s blessings in your life—what he has done for you and what he offers to all people. Don’t wait to feel thankful before giving thanks; giving thanks will lead you to feel more thankful. Gratitude has the power to transform your heart so you see all of life as a gift to enjoy instead of a burden to bear.
