Thoughtfulness
thoughtfulness - I have trouble just keeping up with my own life. How can I become more thoughtful of others?
Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
Philippians 2:3-4
Let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
Galatians 6:9-10
IT IS SO EASY to home in on our agenda each day and miss important moments around us. How do we change our focus so that we are more “others-minded”? Being thoughtful is about growing more considerate and being attentive to others’ feelings and needs. Thoughtfulness, like listening, is a form of love. God’s Word calls us to love others by looking for opportunities to do good for them. Sometimes thoughtfulness is as simple as a kind word, an insightful question, or even giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Other times, thoughtfulness requires us to meet a larger need. Either way, we must look for opportunities to love others instead of waiting for opportunities to present themselves to us. Today, ask God to help you notice the needs around you and then take the time to show love in a tangible way.
