ISN’T IT TRUE that we are often harder on ourselves than on anyone else? God doesn’t beat us up for our mistakes and shortcomings, so why should we? God is a huge fan of second chances, third chances, fourth chances, and more. Every day begins with fresh mercy and grace. No matter what circumstances have caused you to feel like a mess, God promises that he is faithful to forgive and help you start over. Those who don’t want his forgiveness are beyond its reach. But a heart that truly wants to change is a heart that is ready for the kind of renewal only God’s Spirit can bring. Accept his help and watch how his power shines best through your weakness.
