Remembering
remembering - What can help me remember God’s work in my past?
Watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren.
Deuteronomy 4:9
Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.
Isaiah 46:9
Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me.
Psalm 103:2
He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD!
Psalm 111:4
AS HUMANS, we tend to forget God’s blessings and goodness, especially during difficult seasons. That is why God instructs us to remember the good things he has done: so that we will never forget his faithfulness. If you need reminders of God’s work in the past, ask yourself, How has God answered previous prayers? What was one unexpected gift he has given me? When was a time when he allowed me to experience his presence? Answering these questions will help you gain perspective and encouragement, no matter what difficulty you are going through. Set aside time to remember God’s work in the past in order to find hope for the future.
