problems - What can I do when problems overwhelm me?

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.

Psalm 42:5-6

Psalm 146:5

UNEXPECTED PROBLEMS have the power to make us feel trapped in discouragement, hopelessness, and self-pity. However, overwhelming problems are opportunities to experience God’s help. When we feel overwhelmed, we can remember God’s faithfulness in the past. That encourages us to trust him today and gives us hope for tomorrow. Remembering what God has done has the power to drive away the darkest times of despair and protect us against self-pity. God is reaching out his hand to help you. Don’t wait until you can’t go another step to grab his hand. Pray earnestly, asking God to shoulder your load, ease your burden, and ease your stress.
