THE BIBLE tells many stories of people who were in the very presence of God but completely unaware of it. Jesus’ own disciples didn’t realize they were walking with him on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:36-37).What causes us to miss the presence and activity of God in our days? Often it’s simply our own busyness and distractions. We need to train ourselves to be constantly aware of the truth that God is always with us. No matter what we feel, the truth is that God is with us every moment. Remind yourself of this truth by putting Bible verses around your home, carrying something with you as a tangible reminder, or even setting an alarm on your phone that simply says, “God is with you.” Don’t miss what he is doing right in front of you!
