Outsider

outsider - What can I do when my faith makes me feel like an outsider?

You Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.

Ephesians 2:19

What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.

Luke 6:22

When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.

Romans 1:12

We are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.

Philippians 3:20

WE CAN BE ENCOURAGED that the power of God is for us, regardless of how many are against us. God used a young David to overcome the giant Goliath. He used Gideon’s three hundred soldiers to defeat the vast armies of Midian. And he used twelve disciples to establish the worldwide church. Even if our faith excludes us or hinders certain friendships, God is still able to do great things through us. Strive to follow him each day. Don’t compromise your beliefs in order to have friends; instead, ask God to bring you into relationship with women who will strengthen your faith as well as women who are in need of faith. And when discouragement begins to creep in, remember that feeling like an outsider in this world is natural, for your true home is in heaven, and you will fully belong there.
