LIFE WILL PRESENT immense obstacles and invincible opponents, and God does not promise to help us escape them. But we can take heart! The ability to overcome is the birthright of believers. God has given us his Holy Spirit to help us rise above the obstacles and temptations in our lives. However, this doesn’t mean that we won’t struggle. Being filled with the Holy Spirit did not prevent Jesus from being tempted, but it did help him overcome temptation. As long as you live on this earth, you will never be free from trouble, but you have the power to overcome it through the Holy Spirit’s help. If you are currently facing an obstacle in your life, see it as an opportunity for God to show his incredible power. The very hardships and weaknesses that frighten you may be the tools God wants to use to teach you that nothing is impossible for him to overcome.
