Neediness
neediness - How is being needy actually a good thing for my relationship with God?
God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Matthew 5:3
Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.
Psalm 34:9
He has not ignored or belittled the suffering of the needy. He has not turned his back on them, but has listened to their cries for help.
Psalm 22:24
Your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!
Matthew 6:8
OUR CULTURE often looks down on the needy and praises those who are independent and self-sufficient. However, God teaches that neediness, whether emotional, financial, or physical, can actually be a blessing because it puts us in a position of humble dependence on him. This kind of dependence strengthens our faith as we wait for God to supply our needs—and he can be trusted to do this. God doesn’t promise to give us everything we want; he promises to give us everything we need. Because of this truth, we can face tomorrow without worry. Your needs allow God to show you his power and provision and to teach you that he is sufficient. Take one day at a time, surrendering your needs to him. One day you will look back and see that God kept his promise to give you everything you need.
