memorization - With so much access to the Internet, is it still necessary to memorize Scripture?

MEMORIZATION has become a lost art. Even though many of us can access Bible programs on our phones, it is more important to have Scripture in our hearts than in our pockets. Something important happens in the heart when we meditate on and memorize God’s Word: Our minds and hearts become a closer reflection of God’s image and character. Take time to store God’s Word in your heart. Memorization isn’t a race, so give yourself grace if committing Scripture to memory is difficult. Trust in the many benefits God promises to those who memorize his Word. The passages you commit to memory will always be with you, and they may come to mind when you need them most.
