Isaiah 1:17

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

THERE ARE MANY general tasks God asks all believers to involve themselves in: caring for the needy and oppressed, defending and upholding justice, exercising our spiritual gifts for the service of the church, joining in worship and fellowship with other believers, and loving others well. We don’t need to wait for an opportunity to do these things; they are all ways that we can get involved in serving God right now! However, sometimes God places specific tasks on our hearts to meet special needs. It takes courage to get involved, and it often feels uncomfortable in the beginning. Start with prayer, ask for advice and wisdom from godly friends, and trust in God to guide you right where he wants you to be.
