Invitation

invitation - What does it mean to invite Jesus into my day?

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”

Psalm 16:11

I hold you by your right hand—I, the LORD your God. And I say to you, “Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.”

Isaiah 41:13

God . . . has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:9

GOD’S WORD is full of descriptions of his presence with us: He holds our right hand, he invites us to talk with him, he shows us the way, and he partners with us. When we invite God into our days, it isn’t to convince him to be present; he has already promised to be with us in every moment. We invite God into our days to grow our awareness of his presence. If you are facing a challenging conversation, meeting, or crisis today, take a deep breath and prayerfully invite God to be with you in it. This reminder of his presence will give you peace and help you enter the situation with God at the forefront of your mind. As you encounter challenges throughout your day, use this simple breath prayer as a way to remember and acknowledge him.

Prayer Prompts
