Injustice
injustice - What will God do about injustice?
You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so mere people can no longer terrify them.
Psalm 10:18
The LORD replies, “I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do.”
Psalm 12:5
The LORD loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die.
Psalm 37:28
If you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.
Colossians 3:25
WE OFTEN TALK about God being loving, merciful, and forgiving. And although God is all these things, that is only part of who he is. God is also just and holy; he will not allow the wicked to go unchecked. God’s Word tells us that he is an advocate for the poor, oppressed, and helpless, and that there will be consequences for all who persist in doing what is unjust and evil, whether they happen on earth or in eternity. If you are watching an unjust situation unfold in the news or are experiencing it personally, take heart in God’s promises. He assures us that he cares about the oppressed and promises that someday he will bring them justice.
