Inspiration

inspiration - How can I inspire others to know God?

You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Matthew 5:14-16

There was a believer in Joppa named Tabitha (which in Greek is Dorcas). She was always doing kind things for others and helping the poor.

Acts 9:36

If someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.

1 Peter 3:15

GOD ASKS his followers to be lights in this dark world. This means following God’s Word, helping the poor, and, above all, going out of our way to love people well. When we live lives overflowing with love and hope, others can’t help but notice. There’s nothing more powerful than an act of love toward someone who doesn’t expect it or deserve it. When someone asks about our behavior, we must always be ready to explain our faith with gentleness and respect. We cannot just live a good life and expect others to know why. We must connect our good deeds to the name of Jesus. Wake up each morning asking God to show you an opportunity to bless someone that day in a way that may inspire him or her to ask about your faith. And when you feel afraid to act or speak, ask God for help, remembering his promise to be with you wherever you go.
