Ephesians 3:19

1 Corinthians 10:14

WE OFTEN try to live a “full” life by filling the holes in our hearts with things other than God. When we use something else to meet a deep need inside us, it becomes an idol. God is the only one who can meet our needs. The first step in getting rid of idols is to come out of hiding. Many believers try to conceal the things that have become most precious to them, but it is only when we acknowledge idols that we can begin to be free of them. This may be something we need to do over and over because idols have a way of popping back up. Have an honest conversation with God about the treasures of your heart so that he can replace your idols with himself.
