Hearing

hearing - How can I know that God hears my prayers?

I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

Psalm 116:1-2

We are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

1 John 5:14-15

Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the LORD hears my voice.

Psalm 55:17

WE OFTEN PRAY with the expectation that God will solve all our problems. And when he doesn’t, or he doesn’t seem to move fast enough, it is tempting to assume he isn’t listening. But just because God isn’t answering our prayers right now doesn’t mean he doesn’t hear our cries. Maybe one of the most loving things God can do for us in this season is to sit beside us and give us space to share our hearts. We all go through seasons when it feels like our prayers just hit the ceiling. However, God assures us in his Word that he always listens to us, no matter what. If you doubt that God hears you, remind yourself of his promises. Trust him to love you well by offering his open ears whenever you need to talk.
