Future
future - How can I be confident in my future instead of being afraid of it?
I am trusting you, O LORD, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands.
Psalm 31:14-15
[Those who are righteous] do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.
Psalm 112:7
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.
Proverbs 12:25
Blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.
Jeremiah 17:7
AS WOMEN, we often long for security, and the unknowns of the future can seem frightening. But our fears of loss, suffering, and bad news will only leave us feeling weighed down. We can’t allow the “what ifs” of the future to steal the joy God has for us in the present. We miss some good gifts God has placed right in front of us when we focus on the bad that may or may not come. We can be confident in our future because God is good and wants good things for us! Do you expect him to do something wonderful with your life? God wants to teach you to believe his promises and to accept his good gifts. Start by taking one day at a time. Decide to begin each day with a contented heart, and you will experience life as a continual feast. Receive God’s peace for tomorrow by trusting him for today.
