Frustration - 365 Questions for a Woman's Soul

frustration - What can I do when I am so easily frustrated?

O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.

Psalm 62:8

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace.

Psalm 29:11

Be still, and know that I am God!

Psalm 46:10

FRUSTRATION is like the blinking “check engine” light on the dashboard of our souls, telling us that something inside is not right. When we find ourselves becoming easily irritated, snapping at others, or abruptly losing our tempers, it is time to get alone with the Lord and look at our souls. Sometimes making some space to reconnect with God feels impossible, yet it could be the most important thing we can do for ourselves and for our relationships with others. God is not disappointed by our frustrations but rather invites us to pour out our hearts to him about them. Next time you find yourself becoming frustrated, use it as a reminder to step away from the busyness of life and step into the quiet with God.
